Rare on many levels, there is one or two pieces of ‘John Frederics’ clothing I’ve been able to track down, as the designer was more well know for millinery/ hats. This skirt is custom made and consists of wool yarn, circa 1930s/1940s, and is made up of hand applied sequins and pink velvet bows. Hook and eyed closures at waistline with early snaps used down the hip opening. Completely one of a kind piece with hours and hours worth of work, won't see another one like it
Condition: Good for age; shows minor wear throughout. Some areas where sequins are applied have gaps/ missing sequins. Hand stitched elements that are shown, as well as some distressing to waistband. Presents beautifully for age and ready for wear
